PetSafe PBC 102 No Bark Electronic Dog Training Collar
The PetSafe PBC-102 No-Bark Collar is an efficient means of controlling a dog’s excessive barking at times when the trainer cannot be present to monitor the dog. Features of this electronic dog training collar have been specifically engineered to provide a training regimen for your dog, not to simply react to barking.
By sensing a dog’s bark through vibration sensors as well as sound sensors, this collar can effectively determine if your dog in particular is barking, even if there are other noisy dogs nearby. The neighboring puppy’s sounds will not activate this collar. When your dog does bark, a warning sound is emitted, and then a mild electronic stimulation is emitted. If your dog barks again within thirty seconds, then the process is repeated, but the stimulation is a little stronger. There are six levels or progressively stronger stimulation that this collar can emit. By starting small and increasing gradually, your dog is guaranteed to receive a level of stimulation that is effective but not excessive.
Like other electronic dog training collars, there is a safety shut-off feature: if your dog barks more than fifteen times within a 50 second period, the collar will shut off for three minutes. Just in case your dog is barking for legitimate reasons, because of distress or a trespasser or other reason, their barking will not be continually responded to by the collar.
This feature ensures that your dog will be trained to recognize the difference between negative barking and positive barking. This is a level of control that is not possible by collars that attempt to discipline barking indiscriminately, and certainly not through more drastic measures such as surgical barking correction. Though the shocks administered by this collar gradually increase in intensity, the shock never reaches a harmful level, even if your dog is a smaller or a more sensitive breed.
