Innotek Lap Dog Trainer Review
The Innotek Lap Dog Trainer collar is specially designed for use with small and toy dog breeds. Some trainers have found that using a traditionally sized and powered training collar on smaller breeds, even on the lowest settings, would still be an excessive amount of stimulation. This collar solves that problem by gearing itself towards lap dogs, and by including four different levels of stimulation that the transmitter can issue. The receiver is made particularly small, though the flexible collar is capable of fitting necks between 5 and 21 inches.
The receiving unit on the collar features innovative probes that are especially comfortable for the necks of smaller breeds. While this system is geared towards small breeds more so than other electronic dog training collars, larger stimulation probes are included with this system so that the receiver can be fitted onto larger dogs as well. This training system also allows trainers to issue audio cues to the dog without any accompanying stimulation. Since dogs of any size or breed can be trained to respond to audio cues, the versatility of the Innotek Lap Dog Trainer is further increased. The audio cues available include positive and negative tones, so behavior modification can be fine tuned quickly and with precision.
Even though the receiver collar is perhaps the smallest on the market,
it features all of the standard items that a trainer has come to expect from a high quality electronic dog training collar. The unit is fully capable of receiving transmissions from a range of 200 feet, without any sort of external antenna. The collar is light-weight and waterproof. In line with its ability to fit a wide range of dogs, the collar features an innovative fitting system to allow the collar to wrap around the neck comfortably while still ensuring adequate contact from the stimulation probes.
